Station Master for the Cape Coast – Pedu Co-operative Drivers Society, Mr. Peter Abaidoo has assured passengers of the station’s stringent measures put in place to ensure the safety and comfortability of its passengers during this Christmas festivity.
Speaking in an interview to Sompa FM/TV reporter Eric Annan, he noted that as part of the station’s enhanced condition of service in as much as it has duly reduced it’s usually charged transport fares, has equally taken its station drivers through a thorough sensitisation training on overspending and reckless driving.
Mr. Abaidoo said, the station aside its leadership’s series of safety driving tips insured out to its drivers, periodically engages the Central Regional National Road Safety officers to educate these drivers together with the region’s Motor Traffic and Transport Directorate (MTTD) prior to the festive season.
He recalled, this deliberate effort carried out by the transport union, to it yielded a tremendous results in seeing the station record an accident free year among its drivers.
In relation to the station’s laid down efforts to safeguard its cherished passengers during and after the yuletide. Mr. Abaidoo added that leadership of the station at times goes to the length of restricting its drivers as to the specific speed limit they should drive.
